Lie Groups SU(2) and SO(3)

Abstract

We know that \({\mathfrak {su}}(2) \) and \({\mathfrak {so}}(3) \) are real Lie algebras of dimension 3. We shall show that they are isomorphic by showing that there are bases of each in which the commutation relations are the same.
