Abstract

In the EUREKA project PARSIM a large industrial simulation code is being parallelised in order to be able to perform the simulation interactively, giving the user immediate feedback through the simulators graphical user interface. Apart from the user interface, the simulator consists of two main components: A linear equation solver, and the simulation code itself. The design of the simulator is modular so that it has been possible to parallelise these two components independently. This paper describes how the simulator code and the linear equation solver has been parallelised, and gives some preliminary scalability results.
