An environment for information system prototyping: A system simulation approach
A system entity structure represents the decompositions and taxonomies of a system. DEVS-Scheme is an object-oriented implementation of the DEVS formalism for hierarchical, modular discrete-event system simulation. This paper describes using both instruments to establish an integrated environment for building prototypes of information systems modeled in data flow model. Also presented is the strategy for administering the prototyping process and some preliminary evaluations of the proposed framework.
