A Framework for Information Quality Management
Abstract
This chapter contains the framework for information quality management and describes its elements in detail. The chapter is divided into three sub-chapters, which outline the aim of the framework as well as its application context, its main elements, and its application in various settings. The chapter closes with a summary of the key findings. The largest part of this chapter is dedicated to the second sub-chapter, where the elements of the framework are described, such as the information quality criteria and the principles to assure them. The main principles discussed are the integration, validation, contextualization, and activation principles which improve the value of information products.
