Abstract
Various countries prepare to face a new industrial revolution, known as Industry 4.0 by making Industry 4.0 initiative strategy. Indonesia as one of the developing countries, pursue a strategy named ‘Making Indonesia 4.0’. Industry 4.0 Readiness assessment is the next stage to carry out the requirements, technology, and resources needed to implement the strategy. This study aims to identify some factors used in assessing the readiness of Making Indonesia 4.0. The results of this study indicated that there were nine dimensions of Industry 4.0 readiness such as smart factory; smart products; employee; digitization and value chain integration; strategy and organization; compliance, security, legal and tax; leadership; culture; and business model. This paper evaluates the chemical industrial sector. It was shown that this sector was at level 2 out of 4 levels of the Industry 4.0 Readiness.
