Abstract
Design is the most fundamental and crucial stage of thread lifting which determines the result of the procedures. As the direction and degree of sagging differ among people, it is recommendable to design accordingly. However, in practice, patients choose the type and number of the thread before procedures. In such case, it is difficult to achieve a good result. Through detailed designing, the best outcome can be achieved based on variable conditions. It is recommended that physicians try to pull the skin with various directions on patients’ faces, and the key vector must be selected therefrom. To achieve a mutually satisfying result, sufficient communication is vital during the process. There are largely three common vectors used by the authors in cheek lifting.
