Ad Hoc Networks

Abstract

Communication link between two nodes is established when they are within their respective transmission range. The link duration of a given network connection is the time elapsed between its establishment and its breakdown. The average link duration is the average duration for all links considered in the simulation. This metric is important because bandwidth hungry protocols may not be able to operate at all with (too) short link duration.
