Abstract

This chapter is the concluding chapter on the nexus of resilience and public policy in a modern risk society, which attempts to capture key insights from all of the previous chapters. Specifically, this synthesis Chapter, drawn from systemic and overarching analyses of multi-faceted concepts of resilience, related cases and practices that transcend disciplines or sectors, is intended to promote resilient societies(see the detailed meaning in Chap. 6), with a focus on linkages in human-social-natural systems.
