Water Management of a Thermal Power Plant — a Site Specific Approach Concerning Climate Change

  • Conference paper

Abstract

In this paper a site-specific approach is presented that aims at the analysis of climate change impacts on the water management of a thermal power plant in order to evaluate and identify possible adaptation measures. On the one hand, a model-based quantification of the impacts of changing air and water temperatures on a cooling system is described. On the other hand, a GIS-based risk management is created on the basis of changing flood water levels.
