Abstract
Zoals in hoofdstuk 8 reeds gezegd fungeert de huid als een anatomische en fysiologische barrière tussen het dierlijk lichaam en de omgeving. De huid biedt bescherming tegen fysische, chemische en microbiologische invloeden en stelt het dier tevens in staat om temperatuurverschillen, pijn en sensibiliteit te registreren.
