19 Tympanometrie

Samenvatting

Tympanometrie is een onderzoek dat wordt gebruikt om de toestand van het middenoor, en met name de beweeglijkheid van het trommelvlies en de gehoorbeentjes te onderzoeken, door het aanbrengen van drukvariaties in de uitwendige gehoorgang en het meten van de mate van reflectie van geluid onder deze verschillende drukcondities. Het wordt vaak gebruikt om te kijken of het middenoor is gevuld met vocht, zoals bij een otitis media met effusie (OME) het geval is.
