Atriale ritmestoornissen komen vaak voor, maar zijn doorgaans niet levensbedreigend. De klachten wisselen sterk, mede afhankelijk van bijkomend onderliggend lijden. Een overzicht van de ritmestoornissen wordt gegeven in tabel 32.1.
