Zusammenfassung
Auf einer Ebene höherer Abstraktion steht jede empirische Studie in Beziehung zu einer Theorie. Beide Aspekte können unterschiedliche Gewichtungen haben. Die Theorie kann der Forschung vorausgehen. Sie rahmt den Ausschnitt der Welt, der erfasst wird und bestimmt die Fragen an das Material. Theorie kann aber auch im Sinne einer „Grounded Theory“ methodisch in einer Studie entstehen bzw. durch sie ergänzt werden.
