Im 14. Kapitel geht es um irrationale Zahlen. Es werden verschiedene Beweise für die Irrationalität bekannter Zahlen sowie ein klassisches Verfahren zur Approximation irrationaler Zahlen durch rationale vorgeführt. Am Ende des Kapitel werden informell die reellen Zahlen eingeführt.
