Zusammenfassung

Im Zuge der Digitalisierung wird die Bürgerpartizipation als Chance zur angestrebten Steigerung der Beteiligungsreichweite gesehen, wodurch Kommunen vor immer größeren Herausforderungen und infrastrukturellen Veränderungen stehen (Meier/Portmann 2016). Dabei bietet die Digitalisierung des Alltags und der Wandel hin zu einer Zivilgesellschaft mit einem starken Bedürfnis nach Dialog, Selbstverwirklichung und Kooperation erhebliche, bislang ungenutzte Potenziale, um die Gestaltung der Städte zu nachhaltigen, wandlungsfähigen und lebenswerten Räumen voranzutreiben.
