Zusammenfassung

Die Kurzzeitwirkung von Ritalin auf menschliches Verhalten ist belegt. Dabei ist die Diagnose eher unwichtig, der Stoff wirkt in vielen Verhaltensbereichen. Eine der ersten Anwendungen war die Ruhigstellung von amerikanischen Ghetto-Kindern in chaotischen Schulklassen. Bei Langzeitanwendung zeigen sich aber keine Unterschiede zwischen medikamentierten und nichtmedikamentierten Patienten.
