Abstract
Botulinum toxin injections are currently indicated for different purposes including prophylaxis for chronic migraine headaches in adults. Presented is basic knowledge regarding botulinum toxin, criteria for prophylactic use in chronic migraine headaches, and its targeted therapeutic administration.
