Radiology in Global Health

Abstract

Medical imaging has gained increasing adoption in many low-resource regions of the world. Various informatics platforms and technology will play an important role in bridging the gap in imaging services accessible between low- and high-resource settings. PACS platforms have served as a tool that can provide tremendous benefit in low- and middle-income countries. Continual improvements in network infrastructure and declining hardware costs will also make development of sustainable imaging network solutions easier in the future.
