Abstract
Definitive management of a gastrointestinal bleeding lesion requires endoscopic or surgical intervention. In addition to blood products and anticoagulant reversal agents, pre-endoscopic pharmacologic therapy can decrease the amount of bleeding and thereby assist in achieving hemostasis.
