Abstract

The authors rely upon data from the 2017 Student Experience in the Research University (SERU) survey to address a gap in the campus climate literature by sharing analyses specific to trans* student communities in higher education. Troubling the campus climate framework and the quantitative measures on which it relies, schneider, Alexander, and Mitchell point to campus climate research as necessary yet insufficient to creating meaningful change in higher education institutions to best serve trans*-identified students.
