Abstract
In this chapter, we discuss a case of a Rastafarian woman who presents with a potentially serious complaint. Her husband opposes certain aspects of her care, which presents obstacles for the treatment team. The approach to these obstacles is later discussed using cross-cultural tools and skills while also exploring some common misconceptions encountered with this particular category of patients.
