Notes
- 1.
We prefer to use LGBTI, as UNHCR opts, with the intention to be inclusive towards a wide range of individuals fearing persecution for reasons of their SOGI. The Authors of individual contributions may prefer to use some other descriptions by including queer or excluding intersex but we stick to LGBTI acronym to be consistent in the introduction and conclusion while describing the respective chapters.
