The Perspective of an Expert on the New Capacity Building Methodology, Mentoring and Coaching for Technology Transfer

Abstract

This chapter offers a twofold perspective on capacity building in technology transfer. On the one side, it recounts the experience of a mentor in the ProgressTT coaching program and the perception of it by the head of the technology transfer office that received support. It also helps to understand how the cases studies and the new methodology has been used with respect to the several critical areas of focus. On the other side, a number of best practices is reported, that allows to reader to understand how cases can be selected, structured and made instrumental to coaching and mentoring activities within a capacity building program.
