Abstract

Valvular pulmonic stenosis is a relatively common congenital lesion occurring in approximately 7% of all patients with congenital heart disease. Isolated PS is the second most common congenital cardiac defect and represents the overwhelming majority (80–90%) of the lesions which cause RV outflow obstruction. This chapter describes the anatomy and physiology of this disease, and the options and indications for surgical or percutaneous intervention in adult patients.
