Abstract

There is no consensus for the definition of proximal femoral deformity (PFD) and also no validated scoring system for the severity of the disease [1, 2]. An unusual form of the upper part of femur may be a deformity or an anatomic variation [2]. Berry considered that the need for special implants or techniques differentiates PFD from the normal spectrum of anatomic variability [2].
