Abstract
At the present day, the use of high-resolution transducers allows significant progress in characterizing skin lesions, providing anatomical information such as size, depth, vascularization, calcium deposits, cystic or solid contents, and even hair. This chapter reviews the ultrasound characteristics of benign dermatologic lesions, tumors, infections, inflammatory, and traumatic, highlighting the typical ultrasound features that allow accurate diagnosis and provide critical additional information to clinical management.
