Abstract

As the world gets smaller, communication gets easier, the internet and social media dominate our world, and the pressure on physicians and the athletes that they are treating will continue to increase. The biggest risk moving forward is that rumour, marketing, conflicts and vested interests will stay a step ahead of the science that is really needed to help our athletes and to ensure their wellbeing.
