Abstract

Cyber-Physical Systems differ from conventional data-processing systems in a number of important aspects. These differences are so profound that they require a new state of the mind when dealing with Cyber-Physical Systems [Lee08].

“Once cyber crosses into the realm of the physical, then it’s a physical attack, but it starts with cyber. And the idea of a cyber-attack being able to take control of machines—that becomes a scary process.”

—David E. Sanger
