Abstract

Scalp psoriasis is a manifestation of plaque psoriasis that involves the scalp and can extend to surrounding regions including forehead, posterior neck, and ears. The scalp is a highly visible location of aesthetic concern that compels patients to seek treatment. The diagnosis may be challenging, as there are many other diseases involving the scalp including seborrheic dermatitis. This is was a 25-year-old-female who presented with scalp psoriasis and was treated with topical medications and adjunctive coal tar shampoo.
