Abstract

Foot and ankle injections can play an important diagnostic and therapeutic role in patients with chronic foot and ankle pain. Ultrasound is a validated technique to guide injections of the tibiotalar and subtalar joints. Ultrasound-guided peripheral nerve injections can also be used for peripheral neuropathic pain in the foot in the context of peripheral nerve injury or entrapment.
