Abstract

The conclusions sum up the main threads of the book—the role of Ancona as a node in a Mediterranean network, the multiplicity of Greek Migrations, the different strategies of insertion and integration, and the processes of community formation and dissolution. It ends with a short overview of the history of the Greek community in Ancona in the completely different context of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.
