Abstract

The paper discusses the design and development of a new innovative kind of faucet that could be used in developing economies/countries with high population. The research first identifies the need of such faucets and taps through elaborative literature review and then discusses the design and development of a prototype in brief. The faucet developed will be focusing on two aspects i.e. hygiene and water saving which are critical issues for these populations. The novelty of the research lies in the design of faucet and intellectual rights have been claimed for the same. The actual experimentations on the use of faucets have been proposed for grants and authors welcome funding proposals for the prototyping etc.
