Abstract
This final chapter takes up a range of topics not elsewhere covered in the book in terms of clinicians working with transgender young people and their families. First, it examines barriers to affirming care and how they may be addressed. Second, it examines the efficacy of the GENDER mnemonic and its use in training. Third, it considers how practice contexts may change, focusing on both the status quo at present with regard to affirming approaches, but also what may change in the future. Next the chapter briefly considers how clinicians can work together across disciplines to ensure linked up care for young people. Finally, the chapter considers areas that require concerted attention into the future with regard to clinical practice with transgender young people and their families.
