Abstract

The article considers the issues of improving the quality of specialists’ training in the field of Building Information Modeling. The analysis of the development of information modeling and the regulatory base of the Russian Federation in this sphere was carried out. The analysis of data on the job market in the construction sector, the results of the employers’ survey, and the experience in the implementation of the educational programs in Russian universities showed the need to improve the quality of education in the field of BIM-technology. The results of the employers’ survey revealed their interest in further co-operation in the realization of educational programs. The main principles of formulating the learning outcomes by combining the requirements of federal state educational standards, professional standards and employers’ requirements are considered.
