Abstract

Disorders of bodily distress or bodily experience occur across all age groups including older adults. Understanding this condition in older adults particularly in primary care is very important because over 25% of primary care consultations are accounted for by people who are aged 65 years and older and it significantly impacts caregivers. Treatment of BDS requires professionals from multiple disciplines who can effectively collaborate to optimize care.
