Abstract

This paper introduces the abnormal condition of a 220 kV transformer neutral point bushing. The structure and characteristics of the neutral sleeve are expounded. According to the condition that the state test data are not up to standard, the bushing is inspected, tested and disassembled. The root cause of the anomaly is humidity and moisture from the top of the oil inlet into the bushing body. The valuable suggestions for the field installation, operation and maintenance of the bushing and the measures to prevent such incidents are then put forward.
