Abstract
During the last 15 years, there has been a dramatic change in the management of vascular disease with a marked increase in the utilisation of endovascular techniques for occlusive and aneurysmal disease. This exponential rise in the number and complexity of minimal invasive radiological procedures has resulted in the formal separation of vascular surgical training from general surgery.
