Abstract

This paper introduces the general architecture of a prototype for monolingual Italian QA. The adopted strategies, the tools and resources for the linguistic processing are presented, together with the system results.

We would like to thank Simone Pecunia and Giuseppe Attardi for their indispensable help and Nicoletta Calzolari and Irina Prodanof for their comments and suggestions. We also thank Roberto Bartolini, Alessandro Lenci, Simonetta Montemagni and Vito Pirrelli for the kind concession of text analysis tools.
