The series Ethics of Science and Technology Assessment serves to publish the results of the Europäische Akademie's work concerning the scientific study of the consequences of scientific and technological advances for individual and social life and for the natural environment. The volumes included analyze general questions of the ethics of science and technology assessment with a main focus on the examination of foreseeable mid- and long-term processes that are especially influenced by natural and engineering sciences and the medical disciplines. Besides the final reports of the project groups, this interdisciplinary series includes volumes on general questions of the ethics of science and technology assessment as well as monographs. It thus addresses those interested in science, politics and society.
