About the authors

Dr. Mrinal Kaushik is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Aerospace Engineering at IIT Kharagpur, India. He has earned his Ph.D, M.Tech and B.Tech degrees all in Aerospace Engineering from IIT Kanpur, India. His primary area of expertise is experimental supersonic aerodynamics with the current focus on Active and Passive Control of Shock-Boundary Layer Interactions and Active and Passive Control of Jets & Base Flows. His other research includes experimental investigations on Aerothermodynamics of Hypersonic Vehicles and Hydrodynamics of Hydrofoils. For his contributions in technology, he has received 'Young Researcher Award' from Venus International Foundation (India) in 2015. Dr. Kaushik's biography is included in the prestigious database 'Marquis Who's Who World' in 2016.

Dr. Prashanth Reddy Hanmaiahgari is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at IIT Kharagpur, India. He has obtained his Ph.D and M.Tech degreesin Civil Engineering from IIT Madras, India. Dr. Reddy has also worked as post-doctoral fellow in the reputed universities at USA and Canada for several years. He works in the domain of computational and experimental hydrodynamics. His research is multidisciplinary and involves fluid mechanics across mechanical and civil engineering. Dr. Hanmaiahgari's biography is included in the prestigious database 'Marquis Who's Who World' in 2010.
