About the editors
Stylianos Papathanassopoulos is a Professor of Media Organization and Policy at the Department of Communication and Media Studies, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), Greece. Between 2007 and 2011 he was the head of the faculty and member of the Board of the Hellenic Audiovisual Institute. Further, he is a Visiting Professor at City University, London, United Kingdom. Previously, he was Deputy Director of the University Research Institute of Applied Communication (URIAC) and Deputy-Head of the Faculty of Communication and Media Studies. He has been a Visiting Professor at the Technological University of Cyprus, and he has also taught at the University of Helsinki and the University of Sheffield. Additionally, Papathanassopoulos is a member of the Euromedia Research Group. He is currently Director of the postgraduate program in Journalism and New Media, as well as Director of the Laboratory of Journalism Studies both at the Departmentof Communication and Media Studies, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece.
