The REV Conference is the annual conference of the International Association of Online Engineering (IAOE) together with the Global Online Laboratory Consortium (GOLC).

REV 2023 is the 20th in a series of annual events concerning the area of online engineering, cyber-physical systems and Internet of things, including remote engineering and virtual instrumentation.

In a globally connected world, the interest in online collaboration, teleworking, remote services, and other digital working environments is rapidly increasing. In response to that, the general objective of this conference is to contribute and discuss fundamentals, applications, and experiences in the field of online and remote engineering, virtual instrumentation, and other related new technologies, including:

R. Langmann:


Prof. Dr.-Ing. Reinhard Langmann is the Chairman of Edunet World Association e.V. From 1993 to 2019, he was a full professor of Process Informatics at Duesseldorf University of Applied Sciences, who has worked in Automation Engineering and Real-time Systems since 1983, with a special focus since 1996 on Internet technologies in industrial automation and manufacturing. In the last years Prof. Langmann was a project coordinator in several national an international R&D projects on Industry 4.0 & Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and Smart Services. In addition, Prof. Langmann is a board member of the German association New Automation e.V.



Thrasyvoulos Tsiatsos:


Thrasyvoulos Tsiatsos is currently Assistant Professor in the Department of Informatics of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and member of the Multimedia Lab. He obtained his Diploma, his Master's Degree and his PhD from the Computer Engineering andInformatics Department of Patras University (Greece). His research interests include: Internet Technologies in Education, Game Based Learning Using New Technologies, Mobile Learning, Collaborative learning. He has published more than 160 papers in Journals and in well-known refereed conferences and he is co-author in 3 books. He has been a PC member and referee in various international journals and conferences. He has participated in R&D projects such as OSYDD, RTS-GUNET, ODL-UP, VES, ODL-OTE, INVITE, EdComNet, VirRAD, SAPSAT, E-internationalization for Collaborative Learning (EICL) and Education of Foreign and Repatriated Students (NSRF – National Strategic Reference Framework, 2007–2013). Also he is member of IEEE and Technical Chamber of Greece.



M. Auer:


Prof. Dr. (mult.) Michael E. Auer was Vice-Rector and Professor of Electrical Engineering at Carinthia University of Applied Sciences Villach, Austria until the end of 2020. His scientific work is focussed on technology enhanced learning and remote working environments especially in engineering. He is author or co-author of more than 200 publications and leading member of numerous national and international organizations in the field of Online Technologies. From 2010 - 2016 he served as President of the "International Society of Engineering Education" (IGIP). Since 2016 he is the General Secretary of IGIP. Michael Auer is Founding-President and CEO of the "International Association of Online Engineering" (IAOE) since 2006, a non-governmental organization that promotes the vision of new engineering working environments worldwide. Michael Auer is founder and chair of the annual international EDUCON, ICL and REV conferences and chair or member of the Program Committees of several international conferences and workshops.
