About the author

Mr. Nuggenhalli S. Nandagopal, PE, is a private engineering consultant and writer and educator. He is a retired Associate Professor within the Department of Engineering Technology at the University of Houston, Downtown Campus.

Professor Nandagopal has over forty (40) years of teaching experience, which includes twenty-six (26) years as a full-time faculty member at the University of Houston – Downtown, Houston, Texas, USA. He is a registered Professional Engineer (P E) in the state of Texas. He has presented several papers at various national and international conferences and has published in refereed journals. His areas of expertise include momentum, heat, and mass transfer, basic chemical engineering principles, HVAC-R, thermodynamics, chemical plant layout and piping design including pipe stress analysis. He has received excellent feedback for his teaching and writing.
