This book provides answers to fundamental questions of sustainable development and international cooperation in light of irreversible globalization. Based on comprehensive research and a wealth of experience from his own political activities, the author offers an insightful analysis of the globalized economy and its political, cultural and ecological context. About the author

Grzegorz Witold Kołodko is a distinguished professor of economics at Kozminski University (Warsaw, Poland). He is a key architect of Polish economic reforms and a public intellectual and politician. He has been Deputy Premier and Minister of Finance in Poland, 1994-7 and 2002-3. He is Member of Academia Europaea, and Director of Transformation, Integration and Globalization Economic Research, TIGER, at Kozminski University. He is one of the world's most quoted Polish economists, Marathon runner and globetrotter who has explored 170 countries.
