The volume presents the most recent developments in the methodology of Mössbauer spectroscopy; it covers the progress in the understanding of the more recent fields of nanoparticles, nanowires, multilayers and superlattices, surfaces and interfaces. In addition, the traditional areas of applications in physics, chemistry, biology, medicine, earth science, mineralogy, archaeology, material science, thin films, metallurgy and industrial applications like corrosion and catalysis are well presented.
