Introduction

This book covers the major aspects of digital signal processing at a level that will appeal to undergraduates, and to postgraduates and practising engineers and scientists meeting the subject for the first time. A valuable feature is the use of computer programs (listed in BASIC and Pascal) to illustrate DSP principles and design procedures, with copious PC screen plots reproduced in the main text. The treatment of random sequences (both signals and noise) is similarly illustrated, and is designed to be accessible to a wide range of reader.
