Introduction

Volume 3 deals with the most widely employed techniques for the post-synthesis modificaton of molecular sieves. Among the topics covered in considerable detail are ion exchange, both in the more conventional variant in aqueous suspension and in the solid-state variant, the various methods for dealumination of zeolites, and the techniques for introducing metallic, ionic, oxidic and sulfidic clusters into the cages and channels of microporous materials.
