Reviews
From the reviews:
"This is a most interesting and valuable book for the interdisciplinary community working collaboratively on space weather topics, both on research and applications, in Europe. … All in all, this is a very useful compilation of the present state of knowledge on the science and applications of space weather. It is a fine resource for those entering the field or those already active in it. It should be on the shelves of all libraries which cover geophysics, in the widest sense of that world" (M. J. Rycroft, Surveys in Geophysics, Vol. 28, 2007)

About the editor
Myself, the editor of the book, I am the chair of the largest project on space weather, gathering 26 countries. I am a permanent researcher at CNRS – Laboratoire de Planétologie de Grenoble. I study space weather at Earth, but also at other planets (Mars, Jupiter, Venus, Titan). I published more than 50 scientific papers on these topics. This book is my tenth book. I published 9 books on space, space weather, and … philosophy in French. One of them on space weather has been translated and published in December 2005 by Springer (Space weather, environment and societies, Jean Lilensten et J. Bornarel).
