About these proceedings

Introduction

This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the First International Visual Informatics Conference, IVIC 2009, held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in November 2009.

The 82 revised research papers presented together with four invited keynote papers were carefully reviewed and selected from 216 submissions. The papers are organized in topical sections on virtual technologies and systems, virtual environment, visualization, engineering and simulation, as well as visual culture, services and society.
