Lithium and Cell Physiology explores the role of lithium in a wide range of physiologic contexts. The contributions reflect the most recent advances in our understanding of the biochemical, pharmacological, and clinical applications of this metal ion. The book discusses how lithium modulates cells of the immune system, stimulates granulopoiesis, and influences the course of viral infections.
